What Are Cookies?

Cookies are small text files stored on your device (computer, tablet, smartphone) when you visit a website. They are widely used to make websites work, remember your preferences, and provide information to site owners.

Affiliate Tracking Cookies in Detail

When you click an affiliate link on our site, the merchant or affiliate network may place a cookie on your device. This cookie tracks that you arrived from our link. If you make a purchase within the cookie window (typically 30-90 days), the merchant attributes the sale to us and pays a commission.

These cookies:

  • Do not identify you personally to us. We only see anonymized, aggregated sale data.
  • Do not increase the price you pay.
  • Are set by third-party domains (clickbank.com, amazon.com, impactradius.com, etc.), not by yourhealthsite.com.

Google Analytics

We use Google Analytics with IP anonymization enabled. This means your full IP address is never stored — Google truncates the last octet before storage. We have also disabled data sharing with Google’s advertising services. Google Analytics data is retained for 26 months.

To opt out of Google Analytics entirely, install the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on.

How to Control Cookies

On your first visit, you will see a cookie consent banner. You can:

  • Accept all cookies (essential + analytics + tracking)
  • Accept essential only (no analytics, no affiliate tracking cookies — note that we cannot earn commissions on your purchases if you disable affiliate tracking cookies)

You can change your preferences at any time by clicking “Cookie Settings” in the footer.

Browser Controls

You can also control cookies through your browser settings:

  • Chrome: Settings → Privacy and Security → Cookies and other site data
  • Firefox: Options → Privacy & Security → Cookies and Site Data
  • Safari: Preferences → Privacy → Cookies and website data
  • Edge: Settings → Site permissions → Cookies and site data

Note that disabling all cookies will prevent affiliate tracking, which is how we fund our independent reviews. You will still be able to access all content — nothing is paywalled.

Do Not Track (DNT) Signals

Our Site honors Do Not Track (DNT) signals sent by your browser. If DNT is enabled, we automatically disable analytics and non-essential cookies.

CCPA “Do Not Sell” Compliance

Under the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA), we confirm: we do not sell personal information, including cookie data, to third parties. The affiliate tracking cookies we use are for first-party commission attribution only and do not involve the sale of your data to data brokers or advertising networks.

Changes to This Policy

This Cookie Policy may be updated periodically. Changes take effect immediately upon posting. Material changes will be announced via a notice on our homepage.
